Opened in July 2016, the B Line provides service between downtown Denver and Westminster. Trains take just 11 minutes to cover the 6 mile length of the line, which has two intermediate stops. From Union Station, the alignment is shared with the G Line until Pecos Junction after which it joins a BNSF right-of-way, but still running on a dedicated single track.

Promised in the RTD FasTracks sales tax vote in 2004, the B Line was due to be part of the 41 mile Northwest Rail Line that is intended to connect Denver to Boulder and Longmont. However, it has experienced several delays and challenges in development including cost increases that RTD has struggled to find ways to fund.
