To Arvada and beyond…

The G Line is a commuter rail line that serves the northwest Denver metro area, including the cities of Arvada and Wheat Ridge. The 11 mile route opened in April 2019 and trains take 27 minutes to cover its length. From Union Station, the alignment is shared with the B Line until Pecos Junction after which it swings west.

The G Line operates from 4:30am to 12am, 7 days a week. Frequency is 30 minutes at all times.

The G line is operated with Hyundai Rotem ‘Silverliner V‘ 2-car multiple units. Due to platform lengths, trains cannot be currently lengthened. It requires 3 trains to operate the 30 minute frequency service.

The line is electrified at 25kV 60Hz AC throughout.

Extension to Golden

An extension to Golden city center has long been proposed as RTD owns the right-of-way, however the project is not included in the FasTracks plan.
